    Red Eyes

The red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas) lives in trees and forests where it can camouflage itself perfectly. It covers the blue areas by tucking in the legs and then hides the orange feet under the body. When this frog is in camouflage mode it looks very indistinctive and blends in perfectly. The red-eyed tree frog is fairly common in many parts of Central America, from Mexico to Panama, but it is usually hiding its beautiful colors during the day. Open Edition Print

    Red Leaves

Flowers in the mist. A rainy day at the Pura Vida Preserve near Parque Nacional Carara in Costa Rica. I was hoping for a clear day but the fog wouldn't recede and it ended up being a great moody day. Open Edition Print
