Pink Berg, Antarctica

This was the least blue shot I took home after spending five weeks in the Ross Sea. The sun never set's in January/February but it almost sets a lot so theoretically there are many chances at shooting at the golden hour. The thing is, there is nothing golden out here. Ever. It's mostly blue. A relentless assault of shades of blue. So this shot was a singularity.

Sometimes, all the random waves offshore come together in perfect timing. The energy that reaches the outer islands of the Bahamas can be mind bending, especially, when the weather hasn't the same heft. The locals call this a "rage".
